Chardonnay. A noble, precociously mature vine from Burgundy. The small to medium sized bunches of grapes have small and tightly-grouped seeds. At the beginning of this century Chardonnay is highly fashionable in Valais and has grown rapidly in popularity.
It is a powerful, fruity wine which mellows well after a few years in a cellar. Its bouquet reminds one of almonds and spices. Its excellent structure is highlighted by a pleasant acidity.
«Les Fumerolles» Chardonnay is a dry wine which is ideal as an apéritif wine. It goes very well with frogs’ legs, smoked salmon, shellfish, scampi risotto, fish and soft «tomme» cheeses.
We recommend you to serve it at a temperature of between 8° and 10°.
